Early Morning Surprise A111424 and a red heat-patinaed topThis is an acrylic painting and fabric collage on gallery wrapped canvas with painted sides. The composition is first sketched onto the canvas in charcoal, then beautiful patterned fabrics are cut and glued onto the surface and acrylic paints are applied. With its slyly shifting perspective, this work depicts a woman who has come downstairs for breakfast only to discover that her cat has had kittens.
