#53 Doris show_depth I watched people jogging along
Description
I watched people jogging along the towpath
a hangover from the era of Victorian genre paintings but a very modern painting for 1889
The clogs are a nice touch
This painting is in our Cecil Court Gallery
barely a decade later the shipping containers and coastal deep-water ports had finished off the Thames’ trade and with it the viability of the Docks and Wharves along that bank
