Plum Blossom and Full Moon by Ohara Koson, 1900 Size:12x18in (30x45cm) The Parthenon itselfPlum Blossom and Full Moon by Ohara Koson (1900) is a luminous Japanese woodblock print that distills the hush of a spring night into a single, contemplative motif. Rooted in the ukiyoe tradition yet aligned with the early shinhanga revival, Kosons composition pairs a radiant full moon with the first blossoms of spring, inviting the quiet reflection associated with hanami and moonviewing in Japanese culture.
