飛行機での移動を好まず、ヨットやヴィンテージカー、鉄道での旅など、何よりも古くからの交通手段を好むココ・カピタンは、1920年代のオリジナル客車とヨーロッパ各地の歴史的な路線を持つベニス・シンプロン・オリエント・エクスプレスの撮影オファーを快諾。列車の車内で、カピタンはこの旅をともにした友人や、関係を築いていった列車のスタッフらとの親交を捉えています。ポートレイトやレストランでのワンシーン、遊び心のあるスナップ写真など、作家の原点でもある日記のような写真たちは、旅は目的地と同じくらいその道中が大切であることを思い出させてくれます。
