Sekishozan (Shizhongshan) by Yoshida Hiroshi, 1940 guiana Mortlake RoadSekishozan (Shizhongshan) (1940) by Yoshida Hiroshi is a luminous color woodblock print from one of the leading masters of the Shin hanga movement. Created late in Yoshidas career, the work channels centuries of Ukiyo e craft into a serene, modern landscape vision. The composition presents a tranquil mountain scene known by its Chinese name, Shizhongshan, where temple architecture with rounded, sweeping eaves meets quiet water and moored boats.
